2020 Facelift Jeep Compass is expected to go on sale in India by the end of this year and will offer cosmetic and interior upgrades
Jeep is getting ready to unveil the facelift Compass on 4 June, and it is teased too. It is likely to be launched in India towards the end of this year or beginning of 2021 as the Compass is the most popular model for the American SUV manufacturer. The teaser image shows the presence of honeycomb inserts on the front grille, while the front and rear bumpers are redesigned as well.

Similar changes with redesigned tail lamps and bumper designs are also made to the rear end. However, it is expected that the board housing will remain unchanged. With regard to the 7-seater, the report states that, following the lines of Harrier and Gravitas, the back end design will be distinctive. The room inside the third row will obviously be longer. In markets such as Brazil, the Compass will be offered with a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine and the quote “connected with freedom” ensures that the updated version of the premium SUV will have Uconnect 5 with screen sizes up to 12.3 inches along with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa wireless offering.
The operating system of Jeep UConnect 5 could also be mounted with an eSIM for connected car technology. This means that Compass is provided via an application on your smartphone with remote services like remote startup and pre-cool cabin.

It will also be manufactured on an updated platform with better stiffness, higher ground clearance and extensive use of new materials at FCA’s production base in Goiana, Brazil. When the seats are folded down, it is said to have a luggage space close to 700 litres. As for the powertrain, a 1.3 liter turbocharged T4 FireFly flex-fuel engine will be used in the new Compass.
In mid and high speed variants; it is offered sending power only to the front wheels while a new CVT is also provided. It could be in place of the 2.0-liter flex engine which would develop 166 hp.

The same 163 hp, 1,4- liter turbo petrol and 173 hp, 2.0 liter diesel engine with manual and automatic transmission options will also be used by the Compass facial lifting in India. It is anticipated that Jeep will soon launch a compact SUV and it can be accompanied by the Compass’ seven-seater version”as reported by gaadiwaadi.com.
