2020 Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG unofficial bookings are now open; the car will be available in VXI and ZXI variations

We have some good news for anybody wishing to acquire a CNG vehicle. Bookings for the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG model appear to be begun in India, though not officially. Pre-orders for the planned CNG automobile in India in 2022 have begun at some Maruti Suzuki dealerships across the country. This baby appears to be joining a lengthy list of new Maruti Suzuki cars in India that are slated to hit the market this year.

According to a recent update from one of our sources, unofficial bookings for the next Maruti Dzire CNG for the year 2022 are now available at a starting price of Rs 11,000 per vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the Dzire CNG will be available in two variants: VXI and ZXI. By the end of March or the first week of April, the launch should be complete.

The 1.2L Dual Jet, four-cylinder, the normally aspirated petrol engine will power the Dzire CNG mechanically. This engine produces 89 bhp of power and 113 Nm of maximum torque in its petrol configuration. The power and torque estimates for the CNG, on the other hand, are believed to be limited to 72 bhp and 91 Nm, respectively.

Only a 5-speed manual transmission will be available with this engine. Unlike the petrol version, which has an AMT as an option, the CNG variant will not have an automatic transmission. The Dzire CNG is expected to get an ARAI mileage of moreover 30 km/kg.

The Dzire VXI will come with a 2-Din music system with Aux-In and Bluetooth connectivity, four speakers, manual air conditioning, all-four power windows, rear AC vents, tilt-adjustable steering wheel with multi-function controls, dual-tone interior with fabric upholstery, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, LED taillights, and more.

The ZXI, the second-to-top option, will come with a touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will also come with automated climate control, six speakers, and a navigation system.

Both variations will have dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, a high-speed warning system, front seat belt reminder, child seat anchor points, speed-sensing door lock, reverse parking sensors, and other safety features.

The VXI version costs Rs 7.19 lakh, while the ZXI model costs Rs 7.87 lakh. The price of the future CNG variations is projected to increase by Rs 1 lakh over the petrol equivalent. Maruti Dzire will compete with Tata Tigor CNG, which is also offered in two models, XZ and XZ+. The pricing ranges between Rs 7.70 lakh and Rs 8.30 lakh. A dual-tone hue is also available on the top-spec XZ+, which costs Rs 8.42 lakh.

In terms of the new Dzire CNG transmission, we believe Maruti Suzuki will only offer a five-speed manual transmission in India.

We don’t know when the Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG will be available in India, but when it does, it will compete with the Tata Tigor iCNG, which was also unveiled recently in the country “as read and reported by www.91wheels.com”.
