The 2023 Auto Expo will be an exciting occasion for the automobile industry. This event, which was postponed in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is one that every automobile maker and auto enthusiast in the nation is anxiously anticipating.
The leading manufacturer in the nation, Maruti Suzuki, has ambitious plans for this exhibition, which will take place from January 13–18, 2023, at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The inaugural ceremony will be held on January 12, with media, distinguished guests, and dealers present on January 11 only for the media.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny
At the 2020 Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki displayed its three-door Jimny SUV. The SUV, however, was only ever presented to consumers to gauge their interest. After a break of over three years, Maruti Suzuki is now preparing to unveil the Jimny at the 2023 Auto Expo. This time, Jimny’s five-door variant will not only be on display but will also be unveiled in India in the near future. A 1.5-liter, 100-bhp gasoline engine is most likely to power the Jimny.
Baleno-based Coupe SUV from Maruti Suzuki
In February of this year, the nation welcomed the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The recently released spy photos indicate that the popular hatchback’s formula will be used to create an SUV coupe based on the Baleno that will have a sloping roofline and potentially more ground clearance. Despite the lack of information regarding this SUV, it can be assumed that it will be sold through Nexa shops, sit above the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and contribute to the brand’s effort to expand its SUV lineup.
According to Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s managing director and CEO, Hisashi Takeuchi, “For more than four decades, Maruti Suzuki has continually brought the joy of mobility to customers through market-defining products and technology.” The 23rd Auto Expo is yet another chance for us to demonstrate our dedication to the future of mobility through our selection of environmentally friendly and technologically advanced products. At the 23rd Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki will demonstrate its dedication to developing cleaner, greener, more sustainable, and carbon-neutral products in the future. We are convinced that the enthusiasts’ imaginations will be captured by our assortment of brand-new SUVs, futuristic concept EVs, hybrid and flex-fuel prototypes, and other items.
The 2023 Auto Expo will include Maruti Suzuki
At the show, Maruti Suzuki intends to display up to 16 automobiles in Hall No. 9, which has a floor space of 4,118 m2. These will include the WagonR Flex Fuel prototype, two new SUVs (including a Baleno-based crossover and Jimny 5-door), an electric SUV concept, and a few customized cars, including the Grand Vitara as well as the XL6, Ciaz, Ertiga, Brezza, Baleno, and Swift.
Maruti Suzuki will demonstrate its dedication to cleaner and greener, sustainable, and carbon-neutral activities with its new lineup of SUVs, concept electric vehicles, hybrids, and flex-fuel prototypes. The company’s selection of SUVs and UVs will be highlighted in an elevated area, and the much-awaited Maruti Jimny 5-door, an expanded version of the 3-door Jimny, will make its premiere.
Also on display will be Maruti Suzuki’s crossover built around the Baleno. It will likely incorporate Grand Vitara styling cues and slot in the company lineup between the Baleno and Brezza. It will compete against the Kia Sonet and Tata Nexon at its launch, thanks to mild hybrid powertrains with automatic transmission options. At the Expo, Maruti Suzuki displayed its first electric vehicle (EV) for India in the shape of an SUV concept (currently under the codename YY8), with a launch date of early 2025. The 48 kWh and 59 kWh battery packs, which have a range of between 400 and 500 kilometers, respectively, may be available for the YY8 SUV.
