A new mini Countryman has been launching in India, offered in two variants – Cooper S and Cooper S JCW Inspired, priced at Rs. 39.50 lakh (exshowroom) and Rs. 43.40, respectively (ex-showroom). The Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) five-door is locally manufactured at the Chennai plant. Bookings and test drives are now available throughout all the country’s showrooms.

The countryman’s exterior is unmistakably Mini with circular headlamps, which are now standard for LED processing. A glossy black mesh grid, smaller and circular nebula lamps, and silver skin plates complete this well-known front fascia. It has silver roof rails, a black roof, and 17-inch alloy wheel arches. On the sides, the wheel is covered.
The rear holds the Union Jack LED tail lamps, a glossy black stripe on the boot line, and a revised bumper with vertically positioned reflectors and plastic cladding at the bottom. In the meantime, the JCW Inspired edition is getting larger 18-inch alloys with flat tires, a contrasting white color roof, a comfort access system, and a rear spoiler.
Inside, the Cooper S trim has a Piano Black surface for the cockpit and the door bezels. The JCW has a more premium interior theme with options for either Chester Malt Brown or Chester Satellite Gray upholstery. Other highlights of the cabin include front seats with an electrical adjustment function, a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a two-zone automatic climate control system, and a center armrest for front and rear passengers.

The JCW Inspired packs in a few more goodies such as a head-up display, a wireless charger, a larger 8.8-inch touchscreen navigation infotainment system, a Harman Kardon stereo system, and adjustable rear seats.
Both trims share the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that delivers 189bhp and 280Nm of torque. The engine is fitted to a seven-speed DCT unit for the Cooper S and a seven-speed DCT Sport unit for the special edition. The Countryman shoots at 100km/h from a standstill in 7.5 seconds and the top speed is limited to 225km/h.
