Jeep, a popular off-road brand in the United States, has unveiled photographs of its first electric SUV, which will be built as part of the company’s Dare Forward 2030 initiative. The look of the electric SUV has a strong resemblance to that of Jeep’s Compass SUV.

  • No technical details have been released about the yet-to-be-named project.
  • Incorporates family design into a small package.

The world’s first all-electric Jeep SUV has arrived, and it appears to be promising. The tiny electric crossover from the American company was presented at Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 corporate plan announcement and is expected to hit the streets as early as 2023.

In the two images released so far, the yet-to-be-named BEV Jeep appears to be a scaled-down Compass or a more muscular Renegade. So yet, any further information has been kept under wraps. The blue ‘e’ on the grille denotes that this is not a conventionally powered Jeep. Furthermore, the split headlight design, floating C-pillar, X-signature on smoked tail lamps, sharp creases, and black cladding all around give this BEV Jeep a traditional appeal. It appears to be production-ready, and when it goes on sale next year, it should look the same.

Jeep is reportedly displaying a “concept” version of their upcoming electric vehicle, but with the first foreign showrooms only a year away, the production model is unlikely to change significantly.

The design is more modern than the Compass with split headlamps, thanks to the crisp horizontal LED Daytime Running Lights situated above the main lighting unit. The “e” badge, which is similar to that of the Compass, is housed in lower case on the sixth slat of the closed-off grille.

The SUV has thick layers of body cladding on the sides and wheel arches, a black decal on the bulge in the bonnet, and black pillars and roofline, giving it a dual-tone appearance with its yellow body.

The new electric Jeep is expected to go into production in November at the Tychy facility in Poland. More information will be released in the following months, according to Jeep. The much-anticipated Renegade is slated to make its debut in India as well, so we can only keep our fingers crossed.

Despite the fact that Jeep has not confirmed it, the new electric small SUV is believed to be based on Alfa Romeo and Fiat’s similar city SUV models, which will go into production in 2023 or 2024 “as read and reported by www.carwale.com”.
