After a global unveiling late last year, Audi India is now preparing to offer the Audi A8L facelifted in India. The design of the facelifted Audi A8 L has been tweaked to make it look more fresh and sharp, and the interiors have been upgraded as well. The A8 L is available for Rs 10 lakh on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Inside and out, to receive a makeover
  • For Rs 10 lakh, pre-bookings have begun.

The launch date for the Audi A8 L in India has been confirmed by Audi India. On July 12th, 2022, at 11:00 IST, the launch will take place. As the name implies, this will be a sedan with a large wheelbase. With the A8 L, Audi hopes to expand its position in India’s ultra-luxury sedan market. Audi A8 L facelift: exterior updates

In terms of exterior style, purchasers can expect a revamped front fascia with a larger, chrome-dominant front grille flanked by sharper LED headlights with altered graphics. The alloy wheels will be redesigned, and the bumpers will be enhanced with more chrome inserts. With a new design for the tail lamp clusters, the back end will be updated as well. The A8L’s inside will be improved with a virtual cockpit and a Rear Relaxation package for the second-row seats, as well as a new MIB3 operating system.

Audi A8 L facelift: expected powertrains

There won’t be any alterations under the hood because it’s a facelift. It’s driven by the same 3.0-liter V6 petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid aid, which produces 335bhp and 500Nm of torque. The two-tonne beast has a top speed of 250km/h and can accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h in just 5.7 seconds. The Quattro AWD technology transmits power to all four wheels via an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox.

Audi A8 L facelift: interiors and features

The new A8L’s interior will have an improved driver display and an infotainment touchscreen with the newest MIB3 software. Audi will also offer two 10.1-inch screens in the back, as well as a tablet-style controller on the rear armrest. The A8L model that will be sold in India could have similar features.

The continuous segmented light strip features a configurable light signature made up of digital OLEDs, while the rear design is nearly comparable to the previous generation. When the lights are turned to the ‘Dynamic’ drive mode, they change to a larger signature that is only available in that mode.

Expect the same MMI touch infotainment system with a 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch touchscreen on the inside. The A8 L comes standard with a fully digital Audi Virtual Cockpit (instrument cluster) and MMI Navigation Plus, which is driven by a third-generation modular infotainment toolkit (MIB 3).
