Vintage cars are becoming scarce sight in India. Antique and vintage cars can be expensive to purchase, repair and maintain. Chevy is more than just a name, though. It’s like Coca-Cola or Ford, and in so many ways it has characterized American culture. But let the cars speak for themselves, don’t take my word for it. 1915 Chevrolet Series H
The 1915 Chevrolet Series H series carried all its models from 1914. They were built on the same 104-inch wheelbase, by Baby Grand and the Royal Mail Roadster. It cost $875 for a Baby Grand with a magneto and Prest-O-Lite gaslighting, finished in gray or plum, or $1,000 for full Auto-Lite electrics, including the starter.
1936 Chevrolet Suburban
The Suburban is the American automotive nameplate with the longest-lived, continuous development. It’s no joke, Chevrolet invented the SUV with this car pretty much. Early models were a common alternative to bodied wooden wagons because they were much more durable. For the first time, up to eight people could be transported comfortably. The car had a mere $685 list price. As a side note, this common name was used by other manufacturers for this car type, and it wasn’t until 1988 that GM trademarked the name.

The Chevrolet Bel Air was a full-sized car produced by Chevrolet for the model years 1950–1981. For first, only two-door nodes of the Chevrolet model line, separated from the Style Line and Fleets for the rest of the line, were sold under the name of Bel-Air from 1950 to 1952. For the model year 1953, the name Bel Air was changed from a concept for a particular style of the body to a standard of luxury trim extended to a range of body styles. The Bel Air continued with many other trim level designations until production ended in the United States in 1975. Canada’s production continued into the model year 1981, albeit for its home market.
Corvette Stingray
The quick and strong movement, consistent with its name, of the shortfin Mako Shark, affected the streamlining, pointed snouts and other data. The Stingray’s base was the Corvette SS of 1957, a stillborn racing project. Today the Stingray lives with a 327 cubic-inch, 375 hp fuel-injected V-8 engine.

Mako Shark (concept car)
The concept carXP-755, also known as the Mako Shark, was designed by Larry Shinoda as a prototype for potential Chevrolet Corvette production cars under the direction of General Motors Styling and Design head Bill Mitchell in 1961. The quick and fast movement of the shortfin Mako shark, which is consistent with the name, influenced the streamlining, pointed snouts and other details. Two additional tail lights (six total) for the concept car were given to the’ 61 Corvette tail.
1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray “Split-Window”
The newly built’ 63 Corvette was sleek, rugged, and strong as this revolutionary fiberglass sports car was a symbol of post-WWII America anxious to be a person. This version of the innovative style of Corvette’s exterior was very purposeful, featuring pointed fenders, a long nose, and a short, bobbed tail. The hood had two simulated air intakes inside sleek indentations, and the Coupe doors were cut into the roof like a true racing sports car. The first Corvette Coupe development had the split backbone split rear window which was an incredibly unusual feature of styling for its time span. This Split Window with the glass streaming down the sides and the frame winding artistically up the rear of the car with the insignia marked on the big fuel filler round wall.
1969 Chevrolet Camaro
The Chevrolet Camaro is an American mid-size car produced by Chevrolet, branded as a sports car and also as a muscle car in some models. It went on sale for the 1967 model year on September 29, 1966, and was planned as a competing model for the Ford Mustang. The Pontiac Firebird also launched for 1967, shared the car’s architecture and main components.
The Camaro produced four distinct generations until production ended in 2002. The nameplate was returned to Camaro’s fifth-generation concept car, which began production on 16 March 2009. Five million have been sold over Camaros.

1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS
The Chevrolet El Camino is a utility coupé produced between 1959–60 and 1964–87 by Chevrolet. The El Camino has been re-engineered, as opposed to a pick-up truck, and has been incorporated from the traditional two-door Chevrolet service station design into the vehicle frame.
Although the vehicle is graded and named as SUV in North America on the basis of corresponding General Motors car lines. The 1971 model year was launched with the GMC badge El Camino, the Sprint. In 1978, it was called Caballero and manufactured during the model year of 1987 as well.
Chevrolet Citation
The Chevrolet Citation is a series of compact cars manufactured by General Motors ‘ Chevrolet division. The first Chevrolet sold with front-wheel drive, a single version of the Citation sold from the model years 1980 to 1985, the successor to the Chevrolet Nova. Three-body styles were offered for the model range: three-door and five-door hatchbacks and a two-door notchback coupe.
Based on the lightweight second-generation GM X-platform, the Citation. The platform was converted to front-wheel drive for 1980 and substantially downsized (nearly reducing its exterior footprint to that of the subcompacts of the 1970s H-series). The Phones were selling a special Citation, along with a Pontiac phoenix and Omega and the two-door Cup.
Chevrolet Celebrity
The Chevrolet Celebrity is an automobile created by General Motors ‘ Chevrolet division. A single generation of the Celebrity was made, sold from the model years 1982 to 1990, replacing the Malibu as the range of mid-size Chevrolet vehicles. Oldsmobile first used the nameplate during the early 1960s for the pillared version of the Oldsmobile 88 sedan. The Celebrity was more spacious than its ancestor, the Malibu, but the gas mileage got lower. Building quality also improved, with few recalls released.
1989 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1
The ZR-1 resembles a Corvette. There’s the unmistakable shape but with a subtle difference: the bodywork begins at the front edge of the doors and finishes in a 3-inch tail. Wider than usual Vette’s — to fit the powerfulP315/35ZR-17 Goodyear Eagle Gatorbacks made for this particular vehicle. A new, smooth polyurethane end cap is available, convex rather than concave with square vs. round taillights and a small red ZR-1 badge thanks to the lower right corner.

Chevrolet Tahoe
A full-size SUV of General Motors is the Chevrolet Tahoe (and its reloaded variant from the GMC Yukon). This condition improved in 1991 when GMC rebadged the Jimmy full-size as the Yukon. The name Tahoe refers to the rugged and scenic region of western United States surrounding Lake Tahoe. For the 1995 model year, Tahoe and Yukon got a new 4-door slot for up to 9 passengers, such as Chevrolet Suburban and Yukon XL, between the 2-door models with a long wheelbase and higher capacity.

The Chevrolet Silverado and its mechanically similar counterpart the GMC Sierra are a range of full-size and heavy-duty pickup trucks manufactured by General Motors and launched as the successor to the long-running Chevrolet C / K model back in 1998. From 1975 through 1998, the Silverado branding was taken from a trim standard previously used on its ancestor, the Chevrolet C / K pickup truck. General Motors continues to sell a GMC-badged version of the Chevrolet full-size pickup under the name GMC Sierra, first used with its GMT400 model truck variant in 1987. The heavy-duty trucks are referred to in Mexico as “Silverado HD” and “Sierra HD,” and the Chevrolet Cheyenne. Perennially one of the best-selling cars in the United States, since its release almost 12 million Silverados have been sold out.
