Tigor EV is updated with Nexon EV features.

The biggest improvement is the Tigor’s increased range of 315km or 9km more than the previous model. Tata has also given the Tigor new features that were previously available only on the Nexon EV Max and Nexon EV Prime. The most important of these add-ons is the multi-mode regen function with automatic brake lamp activation, which modifies the brake lights during regeneration.

The Tigor EV has a similar four-level regen braking system to the Nexon EV Prime and Max, where Level 0 stops regeneration and Level 3 is when it is strongest. This extends the usable driving distance by assisting with battery recharging while in motion, particularly in stop-and-go traffic or on incline surfaces. The Tigor EV also has innovative technologies including cruise control, an indirect tire pressure monitoring system via a smartphone app, and connectivity features built into smartwatches.

Users of Nexon EVs have already been given free access to these new software-based features by Tata Motors. Tata is doing the same thing for owners of Tigor EVs currently on the road.

Updated Tata Tigor EV receives new models and upgraded features.

The Tigor EV XT model replaces the Tigor EV XM and adds new features such as a 7.0-inch touchscreen and steering-mounted controls. The cost of the Brand new XT model is Rs 12.99 lakh. With cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and auto headlamps now available, the Tigor EV XZ+ has been priced at Rs 13.49 lakh. In addition, Tata has introduced a brand-new, high-end XZ+ Lux model with a contrast black roof, a leatherette interior, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. This modification costs Rs 13.75 lakh.

Battery and powertrain details for the updated Tata Tigor EV

The same powertrain that debuted last year remains in the redesigned Tigor EV. It receives Tata’s cutting-edge Ziptron high-voltage architecture, which makes use of a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with 75 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque. The Tigor EV can sprint from 0 to 60 kph in 5.7 seconds thanks to this (claimed).

The battery pack for the Tigor EV is a 26kWh lithium-ion unit that has been rated to IP67 water and dust-proofing requirements along with the electric motor. Fast charging is possible for the Tigor EV, which can be topped off from zero to eighty percent in just 60 minutes. Tata offers an additional 8-year/1,60,000 km guarantee on the battery and powertrain.

The new Tigor EV is equipped with a 55kW/170Nm motor and a 26kWh IP67-rated liquid-cooled battery pack. A new Magnetic Red color option is available. The car boasts new features like leatherette upholstery, a steering wheel coated in leather, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights, and cruise control. In addition, all variations come equipped with multi-mode regen, linked car technology called Connect, smartwatch connectivity, iTPMS, and a tire puncture repair kit.
