BMW has released the BMW 220i Sport model in India at a starting price of Rs 37.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Sport petrol version of the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, assembled locally at the BMW Group Plant Chennai, is now available at dealerships.
The new BMW 220i Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 190bhp and 280Nm of torque. The model accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in 7.1 seconds when paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.

Complete LED headlamps, the iconic BMW kidney grille, and LED taillights are among the exterior highlights of the 2021 BMW 220i Sport. Alpine White, Black Sapphite, Melbourne Red, and Storm Bay are the four colors available for the model. Customers can choose between two upholstery colors: Sensatec Oyster Black and Sensatec Black.
The BMW 220i Sport interior features an 8,8-channel touch-screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless in-house infotainment system, 5,1-inch digital instrument cluster, sports facilities, environmental lighting, panoramic sunroof, BMW Live Cockpit Plus, leather wrecked multi-function steering gear, cruise controls, reverse assistance driving (Eco Pro, Comfort and Sport) and parking assist.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe competitors
The 2 Series Gran Coupe will clash with the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz A-class Limousine, which will go on sale in India tomorrow. The next Audi A3 will be another rival to the BMW and is expected to launch later this year.
