What’s good about it?
Over the years, Mahindra’s Thar has gained its reputation for its good off-road ability and is now on the next step in the latest model. A petrol engine option alongside a diesel engine option is offered for the first time. A 4-wheel drive system is now available as standard. In addition, the SUV off-road has 650 mm water wading depth alongside a 41.2 degree and 36 degree approach and departure angle. Customers will decide between the choices hard-top, convertible top and soft top.
What’s not so good?
The new Mahindra Thar is currently available in a two-door format, particularly uncomfortable in the four-seater configuration for rear seating passengers. The LX trim options only provide safety features such as ESP with rollaway-reduced prevention, the brake load differential, the front door speed sensing locks and theft anti-induction alarm. In addition, the soft-top variant with six seats is limited to manual transmission.
Best variant to buy?
The LX edition is a good choice for customers who are looking for a four-seat edition of Thar. The LX variant can be used in hard top options and in convertible tops and can be transmitted manually or automatically. Although the AX model is available for consumers looking for a six-seater alternative, both petrol and diesel are manual transmitted.
