MERCEDES-BENZ S-CLASS

Mercedes-Benz S-Class W220 / W221 (of course I think) is the best affordable luxury car in India. Firstly, it is available in the W220 generation for prices beginning at €3,50,000 (€4400; $4900) and then for the latest generation W221 at €7,00000 (€8900; €9900). Furthermore, relative to the very unusual 7 and A8 series, they are much easier to find. They are indeed relatively easy to manage, since Mercedes-Benz’s network is still applaudable.

No denial, though, how expensive repairs can be. Of course, the features and safety are on par with the others, if not better. Using a wide range of I4, V6, V8 and V12 petrol and diesel engine options, you can have whatever suits you like best. While the V12 variants are a little more uncommon, the others are really easy to find.

BMW 7-SERIES

The only BMW on the list, the 7-Series makes it possible to rank 2nd with its low prices on the used car market – opposed to the A8. Prices start at 6.50,000 (€8200; $9200) while most of the E65s lie below 15,000,000 (€19,000; $21200). Usually, the newer F01 stays above that price. While V8 4.0, 3.6 V8 or 3.0 I6 petrol and 3.0 turbo I6, 3.9 twin-turbo V8 diesels power most of the E65’s, 6.0 V12’s are not very rare either. Packing sophisticated features such as directional headlights and active anti-roll bars, they also appear incredibly stunning with angel-eye lights. These vehicles do not compromise anywhere, but are beaten up due to high maintenance costs.

AUDI A8/A8L

The sibling of Phaeton, the A8 is almost as good, if not better. It’s packed with just about all that Phaeton has, and more. A8 is not missing in the picture of a company, something that Phaeton significantly missed. It’s more relaxed, has more usability and safety features and, most notably, improved performance with 4.0 and 4.2 V8 TDI; 4.2 V8 FSI; 5.2 V10 FSI; and 6.0 W12! And you can use the optional quattro AWD system (in some models) if you have the smaller engines, 2.8 V6 FSI, 3.0 V6 TDI, 3.2 V6 FSI or 3.7 V8 TDI.

They also come in at a cheap price, beginning at about 0.55 million Euros (9500 Euros; 0.06 billion Euros; $10600 Euros), although it can be found at very low prices below 15 million Euros (19 000 Euros; 21200 Euros).

VOLVO S80

Though they had arrived late in the Indian market, they had a decent share of the sales relative to BMW , Audi, Volkswagen and so on. One of their leading cars at the time was a luxury-focused S80 sedan. Centered on the same platform as the Audi A8 and the Bentley Flying Spur, this luxury festival has some features and gimmicks, which are not heard yet as a sidewind defogger in new luxurious vehicles.
