Mahindra KUV100 NXT Dual Tone launched at Rs. 4.39 lakh

Mahindra has introduced the KUV100 NXT with prices starting at Rs. 4.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model is available in five versions-K2, K2 +, K4 +, K6 + and K8 in either 5 or 6 seat configurations.

The KUV100 NXT is modified to provide a black roof with an integrated, black A-pillar and ORVM bodies, as well as a double-tone colour. It is 25 mm longer than the previous model and 20 mm wider. Its length is 3.700 mm, width 1.735 mm, height is 1.655 mm and its wheelbase is 2.385 mm. The clearance on the ground is 170 mm with a volume of 35 litres. At 243 litres the boot room remains unchanged, which can be extended by plying the back seats to 473 litres.

It is provided with a new front grille with chrome inserts, front and rear bumpers in a dual tonne with built-in fog lamps and black surrounds and plates. It is now sponsored by smoked double-pod headlamps with LED DRLs mixing in the black trim around the front fender. A bigger covering comes with the squared-off wheel Arches, holding the new diamond 15-inch alloy rollers. ORVMs get integrated turn signals as the lens tail lights and the reworked spoiler are provided on the rear of the KUV100 NXT.

The interior for the new model is finished in black in the dashboard and doorpanels with black piano inserts. Silver trim encloses the instrument cluster and the centre console that features an overhauled climate control module. In the steering wheel, there is also a silver trim. Seats are wrapped in a new pattern with strengthened reinforcement.

The Mahindra KUV100 NXT dual tone trim features front-fog lights, black-piano rear door handles, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, indoor handle moodlighting, LEDs, electrically foldable ORVMs, second-row armrest, adjustable second-row headrests, cooled glove boxes, back-station sensors, puddles on all doors and a wide range of lamps to provide you with a unique experience.

The KUV100 NXT comes with an option of petrol or diesel motors. The 1,2-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine generates 82 BHP at 5500 rpm, 115 Nm at 3500 to 3600 rpm. The Diesel motor is a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder drive which produces 77 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 190 Nm @ 1,750-2,250 rpm. A five-speed manual transmission gearbox is available for both motors. Mahindra used new mounts which say that vibration is reduced.

The new KUV100 NXT comes in eight colours – fiery orange, flamboyant red, perl white and jet blue, grey designer and black midnight. Flamboyant red with metallic black and Sparkling silver with metallic black are available as dual tones.
