Maruti Suzuki India is launching a slew of New Suzuki Wagon. Along with the already-announced updated Vitara Brezza 2022 and Baleno 2022, a mildly redesigned WagonR will be released in February 2022
Instead of being a fully new vehicle, the 2019 WagonR is believed to be a mid-life refresh. According to our sources, the new WagonR will feature more upgraded looks in line with Maruti’s new design language.
- Fresh bumpers, a new grille design, and possibly wider alloy wheels are all expected.
- It might get new upholstery and a fresh colour scheme on the inside.
- The facelifted Wagon R isn’t likely to have any new features.
- Engines will be kept the same as before.

Maruti Suzuki could debut the facelifted Wagon R as early as February 2022, according to our sources. It will be the tallboy hatch’s first upgrade, and it will be part of Maruti’s big eight-launch strategy for this year.
However, don’t expect drastic alterations like the Baleno has. To keep things fresh, the Wagon R is slated to get new bumpers and a new grille design. Larger 15-inch alloy wheels, similar to those seen on the new Celerio, could possibly be added to the hatchback. Finally, the hatchback’s body colors might be revised.
Although no official information on the WagonR facelift has been released, we expect just minor changes to the car’s interior. The dashboard will most likely be the same as the one seen in the current WagonR. Only modest changes, such as the usage of new upholstery, are expected. The rest of the interior design will remain the same. The 2019 WagonR will keep the same amenities as the existing model, such as hill-assist, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 7-inch touchscreen with reversing parking assist camera.

Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors should provide passenger safety. Hill-start help is also available on the AMT models.
There will be no mechanical changes to the new Wagon R. It will be available with two petrol engines: a 1.0-liter and a 1.2-liter four-cylinder. The 68bhp 1.2L motor boasts 83bhp and a maximum torque of 90Nm, while the smaller capacity unit claims 68bhp and a maximum torque of 90Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT is available as transmission options. The 1.0L petrol engine gets 22.5 kilometers per gallon, while the 1.2L mill gets 21.5 kilometers per gallon.
When the facelifted Wagon R goes on sale, it will cost a little more than the existing model (Rs 5.18 lakh and above). It will renew its competition with the Tata Tiago, Hyundai Santro, and Celerio “as read and reported by www.91wheels.com”.
