Skoda Auto India has introduced a new Rapid sedan special edition. Skoda Rapid Matte Edition is now available in India with a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh. The Skoda Rapid Matte Edition, which is available in both manual and automatic transmission, has a distinct paint scheme and additional features over the standard model.
To begin, the new Carbon Steel matte shade improves the Rapid’s overall visual appeal by making the sedan appear meaner and sportier. The gloss black accents on the front grille, door handles, and front and rear spoilers complement the matte finish. The side body moulding, as well as the rear diffuser, are finished in black, adding to the Rapid’s sinister appearance. The 16-inch alloy wheels are also painted black.

Skoda Rapid Matte Edition Exterior Specifications
The new Skoda Rapid Matte edition has a glossy black radiator grille, gloss black door handles, black side-body moulding, a glossy black spoiler, a rear diffuser, and a black trunk lip garnish. It also receives brand-new black alloy wheels.
Interior Features of the Skoda Rapid Matte Edition
The Rapid’s cabin is decorated in a Tellur Grey theme. The seats are covered in black leatherette with Alcantara inserts. Aside from that, the Matte Edition comes with a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rear-view camera, and a USB-powered air purifier. Steel scuff plates with the inscription “Rapid” are included as standard with this one-of-a-kind edition.
Skoda Auto’s product lineup includes standard safety features such as dual airbags and an anti-lock braking system. The Matte edition includes Parktronic rear parking sensors, an anti-glare interior rear-view mirror, a rear windscreen defogger with a timer, height-adjustable three-point front seatbelts, a rough road package, and an engine immobiliser with a floating code system, to name a few safety features.
The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine produces 109bhp and 175Nm of torque in the Rapid Matte. There are two transmission options available a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic.

The new Skoda Rapid Matte edition includes Parktronic rear parking sensors, anti-glare IRVM, rear windscreen defogger with timer, height-adjustable three-point front seatbelts, rough road package, and engine immobiliser with a floating code system.
The vehicle comes with Skoda Shield Plus, which guarantees six years of trouble-free ownership. This includes insurance, roadside assistance 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and an extended warranty. Skoda was the first company in India to launch a four-year service care programme (4-year warranty, 4-year roadside assistance, and an optional 4-year maintenance package).
