TVS first introduced a multi-mode riding feature for the Apache 200 series with the launch of the updated Apache RTR 200 4V in November 2020. Like the existing model, the new single-channel ABS variant also comes with three driving modes-Urban, Rain, and Sport-which offer a noticeable change in driving and performance. And we talked a lot about it in our review. Also, the bike has the same 270 mm front petal disc and 240 mm back petal disc.

The engine power supply is tuned to provide optimum power and control in urban mode and the ABS unit is optimized for a fast response. On the other hand, in Rain mode, the ABS is tuned to deliver the maximum response with a strong pulsation of the lever. This setting also triggers early kicking of the ABS, which helps keep the vehicle in control while riding in a wet road condition.

As regards sport mode it is the most advantageous setting, allowing for highway riding or occasional track journeys to maximize power and speed. TVS states that for the faster lap times the ABS is mapped to the lowest intervention and maximum permissible slip percentage.
