The 7 seat MG Hector Plus release will be the newest entry to the Indian line-up of the British brand to come in January. The main change between this current variant and the Hector Plus triple six-seater – which was introduced this July – is that the seven-seater variant will be fitted with a seat in the second range instead of a seats president.

7-seat MG Hector Plus: What’s new about that?
Except for the middle row bench seat, a range of aesthetic improvements are expected inside and outside the Hector Plus models, which differ between six and seven seats.
7-seat MG Hector Plus engine and transmission options
The engine and gearbox options are supposed to be exchanged between the two Hector Plus models. A 143-hp, 1.5-litre turbo-oil, the same with a mild-hybrid system, and a 170-hp, a 2.0-liter diesel engine will be available. A six-speed manual is standard across engine options, but a 6-speed dual-clutch car with a non-hybrid petrol unit is available.
7-seat MG Hector Plus safety and features
Like its six-seat counterpart, the seven-seat Hector Plus will be well-equipped, particularly in top-spec form, as the equipment list is expected to be shared between the two. Features including 10.4 inch Apple CarPlay/Android Auto infotainment screen, MG in-car networking technology, panoramic sunroof, Infinity audio system, ambient lighting, hands-free boot opening feature, controlled front seats, heated wing mirrors, and 360-degree camera sensors.
Hector Plus is the larger version-in terms of seating capacity-of Hector, which was the debut product of MG in India back in 2019. Although Hector Plus has its own unique features and is marginally longer than Hector, it gets a wider grid, its own LED DRL design, a new skid plate, and less chrome on the outer profile. It’s having a revised iSmart infotainment system and a dual-tone upholstery.

7 seat MG Hector Plus price details and rivals
Hector Plus seven-seat prices are projected to be similar to the Hector Plus six-seater models (Rs 13.74-19.69 lakh), which means that the Hector SUV 5-seat (Rs 12.84-17.89 lakh) in India is marginally higher than in the MG range.
Mahindra’s XUV500, which will be updated to the latest model next year was the nearest competitor of the seven-seater MG Hector Plus for the time now. The Tata Gravitas and the 7-seater Hyundai Creta are both to come for more competition “as reported by www.autocarindia.com”.
