Kia India has presented the three-row Kia Carens MPV in India, ahead of its launch in the first quarter of 2022. The vehicle will be offered in six-seat and seven-seat configurations at launch. According to Kia India, the new Carens MPV features the largest wheelbase in its class, providing plenty of space for passengers.
The Kia Carens will be available with both petrol and diesel engines when it debuts. Both engines will be offered with a variety of transmission options, including a seven-speed DCT and a six-speed automatic.

Kia Carens Exterior:
The Kia Carens are the company’s first model to be launched in the country under its latest design concept, ‘Opposites United.’ The crown jewel headlamps’ dazzling DRLs are based on ‘The Star map,’ the company’s latest distinctive lighting concept. The horizontal chrome garnish in the upper grille and the frame-type chrome garnish in the lower bumper create the tiger face. The sides are highlighted by a pair of 16-inch dual-tone crystal cut alloy wheels and two-tone side door garnish. The kit includes a chrome rear bumper garnish with a diamond knurling pattern, premium gloss black rear skid plate, integrated rear spoiler with gloss black side cover, and a rear center fascia reflector.
Kia Carens Interior:
The Kia Carens feature a classy interior with soothing colors and a large gloss black strip on the dashboard to complement the overall design. The vehicle now has a single wing-style air vent and a premium run-around silver garnish. The vehicle includes 64-color ambient mood lighting, ventilated front seats, a SkyLight sunroof, and a one-touch easy motorized tumble option for the second-row seat to enhance the driving experience.
The Kia Connect app, which replaces the previous UVO system, is also included with the vehicle. Over-the-air upgrades for maps and system updates are available for the Kia Connect. The Carens come with over 60 connected car capabilities at the time of launch. It also comes with a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen navigation system and an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system.
Paddle shifters, roof flushing second and third-row diffused AC vents, wireless charger with cooling function, five USB C-type ports, and a boarding assist handle with lights are all included in the Carens. The vehicle also includes rear door sunshade curtains and a spot lamp with a projected Kia logo.

Kia Carens Safety:
The Kia Carens come standard with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Brake Control (DBC), Brake Assist System (BAS), Highline TPMS, and All-Wheel Disc Brakes.
